I admit that I couldn't get into this one as much as the others. I really didn't like Tristan. I just found him really annoying, instead of endearing. Honestly he was basically awful right until the very end. I have zero idea why Zach actually liked him, other than he really liked having sex with him. That was basically all they had with each other. Fight, say nasty things and then have sex. I never felt any connection between the guys, not trust, no love and no reason for them to bother with each other. The banter wasn't hot or fun. It was just nasty. I just felt really disconnected from it. Even when people were spewing hateful things about Tristan, Zach didn't defend him, just silently agreed that Tristan was an awful person in his mind. I read something a little similar to this plot in Ann Lister's m/m book, Beyond The Music. That has similar elements in that one where the hero was needing medical attention and was not happy about that, and was incredibly difficult because of it, and then his nurse gets him through a tough time, gains his trust and they fall in love with each other. It felt natural and hard fought. I was hoping for a connection like I read there with this story. But instead it was just some smut and nothing else. I have enjoyed the previous books in this series, and going by the positive reviews I might just be having an off day. I definitely recommend you still give this one a try, and see what you think. We met Tristan briefly in Gabriel's book (Tristan and Gabriel are adoptive brothers) and we are already aware he is a complex, interesting but flawed character. As this story unfolds we realize that although Tristan is acting like a mean,heartless and tough brat, in reality he is fragile, conflicted, and tender, even if he'd never admit to it. He just wants to be loved. Zach is a blend of alpha male/intuitive sweetheart.The romance and the sexual tension between Tristan and Zach are smoking hot!!!I'm now back to praying we don’t have to wait too long for the next book. I'm dying to read Ryan and Jamie's story plus I would really really love to read more about Gabriel & Jared and Tristan & Zach (Gabriel & Jared are still my favorite couple in the series and I just can't help it I want to see them getting married).So yeah I loved it. "Just a bit wrong" is a book I would encourage everyone to read.Alessandra Hazard is a very talented writer and I am forever a fan.
