Ebook About **This book contains sexually explicit scenes and adult content that may be considered offensive or disturbing to some readers including scenes of abuse and self-harm. Reader discretion is advised**Kipexo is a battle-wounded commander just trying to return to active duty. To get him back to the front lines faster, his friends suggest he adopt an Earthling, a rescued human from the dying planet Earth. He thought he’d be getting a simple servant ready and willing to lend a helping hand, but from the day Ethan arrives, it becomes clear Kipexo got a whole lot more than he bargained for.Ethan doesn’t know a word of Kipexo’s language, can’t follow even simple instructions, and seems bent on disobeying his new master at every turn. As Kipexo struggles to tame his new Earthling, he’s torn between the urge to punish Ethan and the desire to hold him close. When he learns Ethan has some scars of his own, Kipexo wonders if he should find the human a more suitable master or simply give in to temptation and take Ethan to bed. This book is part of a series that should be read in order.Book Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Review :
I bought this book because the blurb sounded like good fun. I have a soft spot for sci-fi erotic romance and haven't been able to find another good one after reading R.A. Steffan's Love and War series. And good fun it was — but it was a lot more.Mx Alex has managed to craft a world that's just the right amount of condescendingly sinister to make you wonder, from the beginning, if all is not as it seems and if the aliens are really so paternalistic and benevolent towards humans as they advertise. There are serious questions being raised throughout, from how one processes trauma to conversations about ableism, to the healing power of consensual kink, to acknowledging your privilege and doing better...Overall, I found the story to be as thoughtful as it was steamy.I really loved both main characters and can't wait to find out what happens next! there are a few things that stick out for me about this book and let me start by saying that its all from alien viewpoint! Most scifi romances I have read its either the human POV or split between both. This is seriously the one and only I have read from just the alien's POV. I expected it to bother me but it did not. Through Kipexo's eyes we learn a lot about Ethan. And no its not stockholm syndrome because Ethan is not the one to change. The commander changes (its called Lima syndrome where the captor humanizes with the "hostage" and changes because of their interactions creating a positive relationship). So it was nice on that front too. Not just Ethan falling in love because Kipexo is nice to him. He falls in love because all the work the alien puts into getting to know him. to help him, to make his life better. (I won't go into details and ruin it because its sweet) That is the other thing. They have sweet interactions but if you do not like BDSM please do not read this. Their normal interactions are sweet their sexual ones are naughty as hell.now what led me to give this a 3.5 stars instead of 5.no background story. The war the commander was injured in, the earth, how the aliens began this "save the humans" program...no back story.the ending. I get cliffhangers but this was not a cliff hanger. It just....stopped. Just like that. I only knew I got to the end because the auto pop up to rate thing was there and when I went back to story thinking I had skipped something I found I had not.this tried to balance erotica with enough plot to categorize it as romance. It should have been labeled as erotica because it is. At least half the book is sex scenes. This is not an issue if you know it going in but gotta tell you the way they were leading up to the big human truth reveal I expected a bit more plot. All in all it was interesting and I do want to know where it goes but I hope the second time around the author is a bit more careful balancing sex and plot and gets a better editor Read Online Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Download Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) PDF Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Mobi Free Reading Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Download Free Pdf Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) PDF Online Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Mobi Online Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Reading Online Rescue (Rescue series Book 1) Read Online Mx.
